The pool was added in 1982 and quickly became one of our most popular attractions. With Lap Swimming, Swim Lessons, Water Aerobics, and Family Swims the BAC pool is one of the hottest places to be in Whatcom County!

  • Lap Swim - If you swim laps, you can keep track of your mileage and earn T-shirts. T-shirts are awarded at 25 miles, 50 miles, 100 miles, and every 100 miles thereafter up to 1000 miles.
  • Water Aerobics - Get a great cardio low-impact workout in the water! Great for all abilities and fitness levels.
  • Swim Lessons - Swim Lessons are available for anyone ages 6 months to adult. Lessons are taught on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 am-12:00 pm, 3:00-5:00 pm, and 6:00-8:00 pm. Cost for a four week Tuesday/Thursday session (8 half hour lessons) is $35 for BAC member, $40 for child of BAC member, and $45 for non-members. We also offer private lessons (call for prices) and small group lessons with a maximum of 3 in a class for $55 per session.   • Blue Baracudas Swim Team - Blue Baracudas Swim Team is available to any kids who have passed our Manatee level. This is an introductory level swim team with local meets in the Puget Sound area.

    • Jellyfish:
      Rotary Breathing 10 - 15 times in succession
      Front and Back Strokes with Whip Kick: 1 length
      Butterfly arms with kick

    • Manatee:
      Front and Back Open Turns with Push Off
      Tread Water 1 Minute 30 Seconds
      Freestyle with Rotary Breathing and Backstroke: 2 Lengths
