Courtenay has been a lifetime athlete. As long as she can remember she's always enjoyed fitness. She has played soccer all her life and played premier soccer for 5 years till she graduated high school. Once she moved on from soccer and came to school at WWU she began running in her spare time. This eventually evolved into competing in several marathons and half marathons. Intrested in trying something new, she began cycling for hte university team her junior year. These two most recent athletic endeavors came together when she competed in her first triathlon in the summer of '08. Courtenay is currently attending Western Washington University working towards a master's degree in Human Movement. She received her BS in Exercise Science, with a focus as a Health and Fitness Specialist from WWU in 2007. She has also earned her Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer certifications through the American Council of Exercise and has been a personal trainer for over 2 years. Courtenay has become so versatile that she now teaches aerobics classes, Spinning, Weights for Women, Gravity, and also personal trains. With this combination of education and a personal desire to explore new avenues in her own fiteness and within the industry, Courtenay has proven to be a well-rounded trainer who can meet the challenges of any client. |
